He knew this city wasn't usually where most people would expect to find a Green Lantern, but there had been rumors going around both the Watchtower, aswell as most of the world, that something big was about to go down in the home of the Superfamily. Rumors had it that the city's newest hero, Ultra Lad, had been seen around both LexCorps' home office, aswell as the mansion of Intergang leader, Bruno Mannheim, which made him look very suspicious in Steve's eyes. He didn't know if this was true, if someone was attempting to frame the young 'hero', or if this was just pure gossip, but he wanted to discover the truth before the legacies of both Superman and the Justice League were tarnished beyond repair. Figuring that Ultra Lad was a Kryptonian, he willed his ring to locate all the Kryptonian's within the city, but sadly, it indicated that there weren't any full-blooded Kryptonians there, meaning either his target was either a hybrid like himself, off on a mission, or a total fake. Thinking that his first guess was most likely the case, he ordered it to scan for human/Kryptonian hybrids, and got a hit.
He smiled, before locking onto, and flying off to where his suspect was at that moment. He knew the risk he was taking, even though his target would supposedly be only half as powerful as Superman, that was more than powerful enough to severely injure or kill him, if he wasn't careful. Thankfully, the ring had assimilated Green Kryptonite, and therefore could replicate it's energy and molecular compound, should the need arise, giving Steve a small edge. He would still need to command to ring and will it to 'create' the dangerous rock, something that would take a vast amount of concentration, will, and precious seconds to achieve. Seconds that Ultra Lad could use to either attack or flee. Steve was fast approaching where his ring told him Ultra Lad would be.

When Steve arrived there he could see hundreds of machines made by Lex Corp...attempts to duplicate the Iron Man armor platform that previously only Stark had access to. These armors were more advanced, but on further examination each and everyone of them were drones. The drones were all shooting at Jeff with red sun energy blasts. Today he was practicing his agility and evasion skills. Evading each blast by flying out of the way, Jeff was getting more skilled. One day he'd be a master. One day he'd be much faster. For now he had a lot of training to do. When he got enough altitude Jeff merely opened his eyes and let loose a blast of powerful heat vision that struck and dismantled several of the drones that should not exist. Today's training was unlike his previous ones as he was doing a lot of work so he could eventually become a full fledged superhero to the eyes of the people. Of course he was in a warehouse that had been locked down and lined with lead and covered with a Force Field for good measure so none of the damage done to this place could leak out to anywhere else or the surrounding area. Jeff did not like collateral damage or casualties if he could avoid it.
Jeff's sensors nearby in the warehouse detected the arrival of the Green Lantern. Green Lanterns could simulate Kryptonite. This was not good. A battle against a Green Lantern was one of the absolute last problems he needed presently. Without some serious ordinance he would not even consider combating a GL. So he took off, flying as fast as he could back to Lex Corp once the door opened near subsonic levels and when he arrived he looked through Lex's things. "Ah. Here it is." Jeff pulled out the yellow colored gun that shot blasts of yellow energy out of it, not fear. Yet it could hopefully affect the Green Lantern just as the energies of fear could. It might be an equalizer of sorts. Before he stepped outside he stepped into a pod and intense amounts of yellow solar energy bombarded his body, supercharging his powers so he could have enough to get the job done. Once 5 minutes had finished, he flew out to meet the Green Lantern.
"Hello Green Lantern."

In under a second, Steve had arrived face to face with Ultra Lad, the very person he had been looking for. "Ultra Lad. I hope you'll forgive my intrusion, but I have been looking for you." Steve's voice was straight and to the point, letting the other 'hero' know that this wasn't a social call. "We need to talk, somewhere privet." He said, not taking his eyes off of Ultra Lad, and keeping his power aura up, to ward off any sudden attacks. While he didn't come hoping for a fight, he wasn't about to let his guard down, especially since he knew what a pissed off Kryptonian could do. He crossed his arms over his chest, as he waited for a response from the other man, his face and tone not giving away any emotions.
Steve didn't hold any ill feelings towards Ultra Lad, he just didn't want the other guy to damage the reputation of good heroes he looked up to and liked. Steve cared deeply for his friends, and if he felt Ultra Lad was a threat to them or their reputation, then as far as he is concerned, Ultra Lad would have to go down. By any means necessary.

Ultra Lad thought about the request of Steve. It seemed simple enough and so they could go somewhere private to talk. "Follow me." As he said this Ultra Lad took off moving at speeds comparable to that of a fighter jet because he planned to beat Steve to his location that he had chosen for them to talk. It was an abandoned island that weapon testing had been done on previously killing all life and it was near enough to Metropolis that he could fly to it when he needed to. This island was where he had his command center and stored his suits and equipment. Here was where he stayed when he needed more practice or just wanted to get away from Lex Corp and his business deals and what not. Soon he'd be ready to reveal his identity as Jeff Luthor to the world.
"Here is where we can talk Green Lantern."
There were many reasons that this island had been chosen. One of them was that there was no one on this island who was affiliated with the media. There would be no one to spill his identity until he was ready and willing for the world to know. Right now Jeff was not ready for the world or anyone to know about his identity. Of course he had to tell Sarah so he could join her group, but he'd deal with any ramifications of that later. For now he was going to relax. There was no reason for him to be suspicious of the Green Lantern yet. Should it come to that he had fail-safes of his own making for the Green Lantern and others, even Superman hidden on the island.

Thanks to his ring, and will power, Steve could have hit light speed, easily out flying Ultra Lad. However, because he didn't know where this place he wanted to meet at was, he decided to reign himself in. He nodded, before following the other hero at a distance of ten feet, easily keeping up, but not being close enough that he was within arms reach of Ultra Lad. As they reached the Island, Steve hovered about four feet from the surface, not trusting there not to be traps.
"Now that it's just the two of us, I want to know if there are any truths to the rumors about your involvement with either LexCorp, or Intergang." His eyes narrowing, as he finished speaking, while he willed his ring to scan for any traps, or any signs of other people. If he discovered something, and felt he couldn't handle it alone, he would contact the Justice League for help. That was the one major difference between himself and his father, as Steve was not afraid to ask for help. There was a part of him that hoped the rumors were just that, rumors, and that he wouldn't have to fight Ultra Lad. Not because he was afraid of him, but because he was the type who preferred diplomacy, over war. Still, there was also a part of him that like his father and mother, loved to get down and dirty, and just flatout brawl. Still, if Ultra Lad didn't force a fight, then neither would Steve.

Jeff thought about what he could say, and realized that revealing his identity was going to cause more trouble than he wanted. So revealing his identity could not be done, which meant he needed another way to handle the question the Green Lantern posed. The clone story might work anyway. But not yet. Ultra Lad pulled out a cell phone and called his mother, Dal Kir-ta and said to his mother. "Mom, I am dealing with a hero who wants to know about my ties to Lex Corp. You may need to show up and give the hero some reassurance." Jeff then looked over at the superhero, Green Lantern and said to him. "Green Lantern, I hold no ill will towards you. When my mother arrives, she will explain the matter better than I can personally. However, my secret identity is something you are not allowed to find out."
As Ultra-Lad, Jeff looked at Steve. Jeff then said. "As you are well aware Kryptonians could die when exposed to the glowing green element known as Kryptonite. As I know this, I have began a campaign to strip Earth of it's reserves of Kryptonite that is not in the hands of S.H.I.E.L.D, the Justice League, or the Avengers. For that very reason you saw me near Intergang, I relieved them of some Kryptonite recently. So Green Lantern, we shall have to wait for my mom."
Superman had been invited to attend the wedding, but had refused. Ultimately it was to the loss of Superman to not attend the wedding. However Jeff was not one to point that out to a member of the Justice League. Jeff then said to him as Ultra-Lad.
"You can land on the island Green Lantern. There are no traps here."
Jeff was not lying either.
