What would a supervillain who was acting as a hero do after a long and tiring day of crime fighting? Enter a bar. Especially if you happened to be the kid of Lex Luthor and just wanted some wine or something to soothe your muscles. Jeff had so far stopped 50 robberies, 200 muggings and a couple of men who had stolen a pricey Lex Corp Mech Suit. Of course he had taken those two to Lex who had hired them on as consultants. So entering O'Rileys a pub he liked, Jeff sat down. Only he did not think the Bar Tender would raise a fuss as he was still wearing his heroic looking armor. Finally he pulled out a credit card registered to Ultra Lad.
"I would like some of your finest and most expensive wine. Of course seeing as how I am a Kryptonian I am sure you know I could handle it. Hopefully you will not give me any problems getting the beverage I desire. So what will it be?"
Jeff waited for the Bar Tender to reply. If he caused too much trouble Jeff would simply super speed away and change costumes. Once he changed into the villainous costume he might demand a few bottles as a protection fee. Of course the Bar Tender was not telepathic and so likely would not know any of Jeff's plans. Jeff honestly did need a drink because of all the stuff he had been doing as of late. With Superman out of town, crime had sprung up. Jeff was doing his best to limit the level of crime, but alone he could not work forever unfortunately.

The Bartender, who was a retire cop, had heard every excuse in the book, when it came to kids wanting his to serve them alcohol. He raised an eyebrow at Jeff's request, and shook his head. "Kid, unless you want to deal with the SCU or the League, I suggest you leave the same way you came in. Kryptonian or not, I ain't risking my license."The guy was the type of old, crudity, 'I can take out anyone I want, anytime. This grey hair doesn't mean anything' kind of guy. He wasn't about to backdown to anyone, alien, meta, mutant, it didn't matter to him. It was a good thing for him, that a certain blond haired young woman was walking just outside of the establishment, on her way to a club to meet up with some friends for the evening. If Jeff were to turn around, he would catch a glimpse of her, walking past one of the windows, wearing a dark blue top, skin tight dark blue jeans, gold hoop earrings, and a tan, open jacket. The outfit was completed with brown, leather high heeled boots which came up to just below her knees.

Jeff looked at the Bar Tender. "You'd call the League? Seriously?" Jeff then turned around and saw a certain blond haired young woman walking past the bar and immediately made his exit. "Solomon. Run her through Facial Recognition Software V2.5" Solomon obeyed and started to run her face through the program as well as her outfit to maybe locate a match. Jeff then said to Solomon. "Make a digital note for me to come in my civilian form and buy this place. " Solomon spoke. "Duly noted Sir." Jeff nodded and then slowly walked towards the woman. The Facial Recognition Software had ID-ed her as an unknown. Jeff then looked over at the Bar Tender one more time, but did not lose position of the girl. For Solomon was accessing a Lex Corp satellite to trace her position. When he found the club, Jeff was in his civilian clothes. Jeff was not going to hide himself in armor when entering a club. "Sir. About the girl. My attempt to determine who she is have come up inconclusive."
Jeff scowled. "Solomon. Try again. " Solomon obliged. Jeff walked into the club and pulled out some money. Slapping it on the counter he said. "A free round of drinks for everyone here, on me. " The image of an idiot was not one he liked to maintain. But for public appearances he had to maintain it. Unfortunately it seemed to be the best idea. Jeff then said to everyone. "Need any Pizza or anything to go with those free drinks?" Thinking better of it Jeff asked. "Could I talk to the manager?"

The Club was only a few minutes walk from the bar, she could have been there faster had she chosen 'fly', but Sarah preferred to walk when ever she had the opportunity. It made her feel more human, and less like the demi-goddess that she really was. She held no false image of herself, but she still wasn't comfortable thinking of herself that way. Amazon, yes, but goddess? No. Hence why she liked having a secret identity and the mask. Last thing she needed was the paparazzi following her everywhere she went.
The club was open to teenagers, it didn't serve alcohol though that didn't mean someone wouldn't find a way to sneak some in, so she didn't need to show id. Also, there was no bouncer or anyone to check, it was just a 'come as you are and open the door yourself' kind of place. Which suited her just fine. As she wasn't a native or local to Metropolis, she only knew of it from a flier she found when visiting the city a few weeks back with her mom and sister. She was on Spring Break, and instead of going to a place with a beach like a lot of kids would, she decided to come back, mostly to see if she could meet Superman, but also because it was a nice change from the sweltering LA heat. Something that was getting a little tiresome for her at the moment.
Walking inside, she spotted the friends that came with her, her cover story incase someone were to ask the question of 'what is a Cali girl going in Metropolis, during Spring Break' again. That question was seriously getting old. She walked over to the table where they were all sitting at, walking past the bar were Jeff and a few other people were sitting, as a local band was playing loud and heavy garage rock, just like she liked. The only thing that would have made it better, was if a fight broke out.

Outside of the building they were in rolled a bunch of vehicles. The vehicles had the distinctive AIM Logo printed on them and all the crew except for the meta humans and mutants inside were dressed in the typical AIM outfits. When they were detected by Solomon Jeff immediately said to guy he was talking to. "Nevermind." Immediately he ran inside the bathroom and climbed out the window and opened it. A quick run to a nondescript van nearby and Jeff pulled out a backpack. Putting it on he pushed a button on his watch and immediately the backpack began to transform into armor. It was time for him to fight fire with fire. Or in this case superior numbers with the required amounts of special technology and his own Kryptonian abilities as well. Finally ready... he put on the last piece of the armor the helmet.
With the helmet fully in place he flew up into the air before coming down in a black and silver blur. His first order of business was to smash into a weapon some of the agents had been setting up, a Negative Zone Portal Cannon. Yeahno. They weren't going to use such technology on his watch. Later he'd dissect the remains of the technology but for now he just wanted to stop them. Two piercing silver beams of heat vision came out of his eyes piercing the device and disabling it. At the same time he activated one of his armor's primary functions. Solar Energy shaped into a sort of axe in his hands. When one of them busted out an over priced Mech suit and attempted to blast him, the axe slew all the missiles and badly damaged the suit.
The leader of them looked at the scenario. Immediately he went to where they kept one of their assets. "Use our asset." The others nodded and a container was releaed and it started to unseal. A hiss could be heard as mist came out of it and a warrior clad in black and gold technological armor that controlled his every move was revealed. Immediately he held up his hand and a rather large chunk of concrete sent Jeff disguised as Ultra Lad flying into the club. Immediately forcing himself back up Jeff made himself consider possible ways to deal with the Geokinetic. "Any suggestions Solomon? We don't have many options that don't involve lethal force."
Solomon said. "Sir, if his feet were not on the ground likely he'd have a harder time controlling it?"
Jeff nodded and prepared to use that method of attack. Any countermeasure to hold off the Geokinetic could be put to use.

Between the music and her friends, Sarah never noticed Jeff, so she didn't notice him doing his disappearing act. And as she didn't have super hearing or vision powers, she didn't know about the AIM van sitting outside of the building. Still, while she hadn't noticed all this, a SHIELD spy satellite had, and began looking for agents in the area to notify, hence where she came in. Hidden in her right ear, was a SHIELD communicator, transparent and so tiny, it disappeared into her ear canal, very discreetly.
While not pleased that his daughter was so close to a squad of AIM soldiers, Steve Rogers knew she could deal with them. His mind made up, he opened the chanel and spoke up. "Captain America, this is Director Rogers. We have just picked up on a AIM transmission, coming from behind the building you're currently in. We need you to stop whatever they are up to." Sarah neither spoke, nor made any gesture to show she heard or understood her father's message, other than stand up from her seat. "Excuse me, I'll be right back."She said to her friends, a believable excuse that didn't give anything away. She made her way out through the front door, easily avoiding any suspicion, acting like she had forgotten something, before making her way towards the back alley at speeds of around fifty mph, quickly changing out of her party clothes and into her uniform with well practiced ease. She had left her shield in her suitcase at the hotel, as it would have been too bulky to try and hide under her jacket. She arrived, full dressed, in time to see Jeff knocked inside of the Club, in his Ultra Lad armor.
Unsheathing her sword, she ran at her top speeds, slashing the van's tires, before giving quick and precise punches to each of the AIM operatives, in the face and with just enough force to knockout the average human male. Despite how they viewed life, she didn't want to kill them if she could avoid it. Once they had been dealt with, she turned her attention to the Earth mover, who had just taken notice of her, at that very moment. "I suggest you stand down, if you don't want to get hurt."

The Earth mover had a collar around his neck that in addition to his armor was controlling him. "Zzt...Help me." Huge slabs of concrete rose up glowing yellow as all of them became a sort of massive fist of Earth. The fist of Earth was headed in her direction. Unfortunately for the Geokinetic's attack missiles came out of Jeff's suit shattering the slab of rock so it could not impact with Captain America. Jeff whispered in his armor. "Solomon, Film our battle and prepare for upload to Youtube." Solomon said. "But sir, uploading the video to youtube would not be wise. It might bring S.H.I.E.L.D. down on you." Before Jeff could utter any words or make any sort of attack plan to deal with the Terrakinetic one of the Aim operatives hidden in the van came out with a strange looking ray gun. The Ray Gun was sort of a Stasis Weapon. The gun was shot by the AIM operative not at Jeff, but at Sarah to bring her down. Hopefully the Stasis Laser could hold her long enough for them to run away.
Jeff's AI Solomon popped up. "Sir. I am detecting Chronal Energies from the laser. It seems to be some sort of Stasis Weapon. I recommend lethal force."
Jeff opened his eyes. Heat vision shot out of his eyes hitting the Stasis Laser and mopping the floor with it. Jeff scowled and flew with all his speed he could coming at the AIM operative, preparing to punch the dude in the face. Jeff then said. "You have caused trouble. Prepare to be removed." At the last moment, Jeff thumped him in the head and knocked him out with jut one thump.

"I will."She may have been a warrior, who had fought in several wars and battles, and carried a sword, but she was no barbarian and not without compassion. Charging forward, Sarah reversed her grip on the sword, and after striking her opponent on the temple, she parried back and brought the blade up in a quick slicing motion. She then stood straight up, returning the sword to it's sheath, while both her opponent and his armor fell to the ground, and around his body. Incredibly, when the armor fell away fro the Earth Mover, there were no cuts to be seen on his body, or any damage, other that the now appearing bruise on his temple.
She saw Jeff out of the corner of her eye, and watched as he attacked the last AIM operative, though her attention never fully leaving the fallen man she had just saved/defeated. She would call for a SHIELD transport and team to round everyone up, but she didn't wish to let Jeff hear her, or know she was in touch with anyone, so she just opted to leave the channel open. That way, her father could hear if they spoke to eachother, which Sarah did. "Ultra Lad, right?" Her tone was friendly enough, but not so much that he would think she was doing anything more than trying to be professional. This was his city, and she was merely a guest in it.

"Yeah. Thanks for the assist Captain America. It was nice of you to show up when you did. As I am still working the kinks out of learning to control my more powerful abilities, perhaps we could spar some time. I'd welcome the practice honestly. Nice blade you have. What is it made of exactly? To be able to cut..." Jeff walked over to the armor an paled as he studied it. The technology was stolen from Lex Corp. Jeff then sighed. "It seems AIM stole some technology from Lex Corp in the form of the suit they were using as a method of controlling the Terrakinetic. Jeff then said. "I'll see to it that the damages to the Club and the surrounding area are taken care of. So Captain America feel free to call in S.H.I.E.L.D. to help clean up the mess. As to how I know, my AI Solomon detected the presence of a S.H.I.E.L.D. communicator in your ear. Don't worry, I don't mind the help. You are free to patrol Metropolis. Today was the day I was supposed to relax without worrying about crooks like that. Apparently A.I.M. had other ideas. As for their technology, I shall hold onto it. I am very interested on how they got their hands on a Stasis Laser. The technology for that should not be out of the developmental phase yet anyway."
Finally he said. "Any plans to put a new Avengers together? If so, I might be interested in helping as a consultant of course. " As a consultant he could assist from time to time but also continue his plans. Like most Luthors, Jeff planned to rule the world. Unlike them however he did not have nearly as big of an ego on him. This meant he could actually plan out strategies that might not fail. One of his strategies included getting on the good side of Captain America.

"Adamantine, metal of the Gods, well Olympains anyway."She didn't see any worries in telling him that much, as he would only be able to get any from an Olypian or her sisters, which considering how little they still trust men, she didn't see happening anytime soon. Sure, there were a few mortals who had proven worthy of them as tokens from the Gods, and if he was deemed one of those few so blessed, she didn't see it to be her place to argue. Not to mention she didn't have the ear of any of those deities at this point in her life, unlike her mother or her biological sister who was the current Champion of Athena.
She looked down at the fallen AIM operatives, laying on the pavement and in the van itself, and noticed the slight rise and falling of their chests, indicating that they were all still alive. Although she didn't have a lasso, she did carry over a dozen zip cuffs in her belt, at all times, which she began to bind them with, hands behind thei backs. She then searched each one for concealed weapons, before removing their 'Beekeeper' helmets, so the agents could run face recognitions when they arrived. As she did this, she was also listening to Jeff, and was intrigued when he mentioned LexCorp technology being used, something she was sure Superman would be interested to know about. The Legendary hero and the Luthor family had long been at aodds with one another for decades, having battles that were still being talked about in schools and around clubs and bars all over the city. And while Ultra Lad had powers similar to those of a Kryptonian and even claimed to be one, he didn't wear the ensign of the House of EL, and thus was not believed to be one of Superman's family.
She was also intrigued when he mentioned he would take care of the damages, reinforcing her belief that he wasn't related to Clark Kent, since he was suppose to be just another reporter. Albeit a top, senior reporter for one of the World's top newspapers. Is he related to Luthor, or another wealthy family? I can't help but wonder. Maybe dad will know. She thought to herself, as she finished rounding up the bad guys.
Sarah wasn't the only one intrigued by this bit of information, as Steve Rogers began to order his men and women to run voice recognition softwear to see if they could determin Jeff's true iddenity, something Steve was well aware of being slim to none successful, due to most kryptonian's control over their vocal muscles. Still, it was the only avenue they had at that moment, so he took it. He also green lighted a retrieval team, to go and pickup the AIM oppertives Jeff and Sarah captured, aswell as the Earthmover, too. He also made a mental note to have Diane trackdown Clark, and see what he knew about this Ultra Lad, and what he would tell them.
Sarah schooled her features, keeping her emotions netrual and her body and voice calm, nodding in understanding, before speaking. "I'm sure Director Rogers will be grateful for your cooperation, Ultra Lad. As for how they got a hold of such advance technology, well I'm afraid that's always been their M.O., developing and stealing tech that most wouldn't believe actually exists. I'm more concerned about how they would know of it's existence to begin with, considering how tight LexCorp's security usually is." She wasn't joking about the last part of her statement. Lex Luthor was notoris for being tightlipped about his inventions, and the testing of them, so much so that even S.H.I.E.L.D., didn't usually know anything until Lex was ready for them to know. And his company was almost as difficult to infultated as the inner circle of it's President and founder itself. Together, all these things worried the young heroine.
She smiled, but shook her head to his last question, about reforming the New Avengers, the team which was stationed inside of the mansion. "They're still around. I think you're referring to The Young Avengers, though. Yes, I have been working on reforming and reestablishing that team, although it's still in the planning stages. I'll contact you through Superman, once we're ready to start recruiting new members. I'm certain we could use someone of your caliber. Although I am surprised you wouldn't rather join up with the Titans." He had helped her out, and was considered trust worthy by most of the other heroes of Metropolis, so she didn't see any reason why she shouldn't accept him on her team, if he chose to join up, either as a concoltant, or member.

A mental note was made by Jeff to shore up the defenses of Lex Luthor's businesses. Another plan of his was to buy out some more of the companies. Pym came to mind and so he made a plan. First things was first. The voice recognition software would not reveal his identity as he had perfect control of his voice. AIM had stolen some stuff from Lex's companies that he had not expected. It could be possible they had not stolen it, but were given it to test. Knowing Lex that was one of the most logical things to assume, but Jeff did not believe his dad would willingly work with A.I.M. After that he had a few ideas of his own. The armor of Jeff cracked because of his strength. Scowling he thought of a way he could make an armor that could withstand his super strength. Perhaps if the suit was made of energy. Considering the situation and how he could handle things properly in order to become a well known Superhero, Jeff decided not to reveal he was a Luthor.
"Superman and I don't see eye to eye. So here is how you may contact me."
A cell phone like device, but incredibly more advanced was handed to her. It was a piece of technology no one had ever seen before. It was even more advanced than the ones sold by Lex Corp. This phone was not the one Jeff planned to sell, but a prototype he had made for his own use. This phone ran off of a mini Zero Point Energy Cell something S.H.I.E.L.D. did not know existed. The phone had no surveillance devices in it, but was virtually untraceable.
"This has a direct link to my Ai, Solomon. It will allow you to reach him, and thus me."
Heroes were something the world needed many times over. Even though he was not a member of Superman's Family he had considered for a time donning the crest tht would mark him as one of them. Only he had not gone through with it. For some reason he had not felt worthy of that symbol. The house of El was a symbol of hope and a villain masquerading as a hero hardly inspired hope anyway. Jeff then said to her.
"Captain America. Just to let you know I learned from one of the Lex Corp Scientists they are working on a mechanical lasso. You might be able to claim it as yours. They plan to auction it to the highest bidder. Word from the scientists is that the Lasso has similar properties to the one wielded by Wonder Woman and Wonder Girl."
Jeff's suit displayed a low power level. "I must now withdraw. We shall meet again some time Captain America."
Jeff then took off flying as he had to recharge his suit. When he arrived far enough away he immediately changed course and headed to one of his secret entrances to Lex Corp. There by means of an automated system the suit was removed off of him. The machines then started to work on the repairs of the suit so it would be ready by the next time he needed the suit. Changing out of the Underlay suit into some casual clothes, Jeff prepared himself. The casual clothes for him were an Armani suit. A black and silver armani suit with a silver (24 Carat) Tie Tack. Jeff then headed to the van to attend a press conference. Smiling at the media he said.
"The world has had it's share of armored heroes and villains. However with the retirement of Iron Man and War Machine or should I say Iron Patriot, I am pleased to announce a replacement for those outmoded Giants. Behold the Lexo Skeleton MK 6. " Out of the ground came a battle suit in the normal green and purple of Lex Luthor, but looking incredibly more advanced. "Thanks to the brilliant scientists at Lex Corp this armor uses a Kryptonian Operating System. The armor also has access to many weapons systems that humanity does not presently have. Lex Corp is willing to sell this armor to the highest bidder at an auction taking place tomorrow within Lex Corp. One member from each major city's news outlets will be allowed to attend. It will also mark the unveiling of some other technology that I have personally been working on as well as some products developed by my dad Lex Luthor. To Captain America I extend an open door Policy. She may attend the auction and may also come and see some of our science at work. Also, she will be offered a discount if she wants to purchase a Lex Corp Hover Bike, and Energy Shield. We have also designed a new fabric she could use in her costume if she wishes to upgrade to the 21st Century. Also as of now development of a Technological lasso has been completed. It will soon be sold to the highest bidder like the armor and other items that Lex has told me to market as acting CEO. "

She nodded, before reaching out her hand and accepting the new phone. She would have it scanned by the Agents, before taking it to either the Helicarrier, any safehouses, or bases used by either S.H.I.E.L.D., or the Avengers, just to be safe. She would listen to what he had to say, politely and respectively, and though she didn't feel the need to carry a lasso, that didn't mean she wouldn't see what he had to offer, especially if S.H.I.E.L.D., or Stark didn't already have it. It did peak her curiosity that LexCorp would have been able to manufacture a mechanical copy to her family's magic lassos, and if they would be as well built or better than those made by Professor Ivo for his android, Amazo? Sarah could only wonder. "I'll be sure to check it out myself, then."While like most of her sisters and family, Sarah believed magic trumped technology and science, she believed the latter still had it's uses, hence she was keeping an open mind. "I look forward to it, Ultra Lad."She said, as she watched him fly away. She waited a few more minutes, until the S.H.I.E.L.D., team arrived and began taking the prisoners into custody. It surprised her that neither the sound of fighting, nor the arrival of a squad of heavily armed and armored S.H.I.E.L.D., agents and a Quinjet didn't draw anyone out of the club. Either the citizens of Metropolis were just use to things like this, or the music was so loud that no one noticed anything. Both seemed plausible to Sarah, and made her glad she had her powers and training, because she worried that if she needed help, the average citizen might not be thee to do so. After everyone had left, she flew up to the roof of an adjacent building, after gathering up her clothes ofcourse, redressing, and then making her way back down and into the club, where she rejoined her friends. She enjoyed the rest of the night dancing, listening to music, and just hanging out with people whom she enjoyed being around, and they seemed to do the same. After bidding everyone goodnight, and making her way back to her hotel, she watched some tv, saw the new conference, before taking a hot shower and going to bed. She found it strange that Jeff Luthor would extend her an open invitation to his auction, reight after learning about it from Ultra Lad, who seemed to have an inside man in a company which S.H.I.E.L.D., had been trying to get into for several years unsuccessfully. It was definitely something she decided she would need to look into, or ask her mother to do, since the Justice League knew more about Luthor than anyone else. After a goodnight sleep, that is.
